I married my best friend!

Introducing Mrs. Shaelynn Jael Castle-Argumedo! Nearly 5 years ago, I started dating the love of my life at the same college we've studied together. Several years later, I asked my then-girlfriend to marry me, and everything popped off. 🎉
We've learned and went through the good and bad times of our lives together. Last year, I decided to promote my closest best friend to be my wife. Most people we both knew have said that they were very happy that we are starting a new journey together as one couple. In reality, I don't regret every moment that we've spent together. We've endured and embraced every challenge we faced together and that is one of the hardest we fought to keep each other at bay.
To us, we both understand each other very well and have our own unique strengths and weaknesses that keeps us down to earth. On our wedding day, it was the best that could've happened to us for years to remember. An exquisite western theme that fitted our venue and decorations that matched the setting perfectly. We shared and exchanged our most intimate and deeply personal vows to each other. After that, we both said "I do" to each other and pronounce as husband and wife of the newlywed couple.

I would like to share some of the vow commentary that my now-wife has shared in the moments before officially becoming my spouse:
[...] Five years of my heart skipping beats on each date. My next "yes" moment occurred when you surprised me on Thanksgiving Day with both families present and asked me to marry you. However [in the moment], I didn't give you a chance before I said, "a million times yes!" [...]
Personally, that was one of the most deeply personal stories that was shared across to our family and friends.
Recently, we just watched Disney's Zootopia 2 (and it's very good). There was a quote that really stuck with us as a now married couple:
Nick Wilde: I don't care that we're different. What I care about... is you. Okay? I care about you. And I didn't say it earlier, but I should have said it, but I didn't because... [...] Probably because I've been on my own my whole life. But that's not an excuse. It's just that... It's just that instead of telling you that you're the best thing that's ever happened to me, I make jokes about your ears and tell you that you try too hard, when the truth is I don't want you getting hurt... because no one else in the world matters to me more than you do.
I would like to thank some of the companies and people that helped us shaped our wedding from the start. First things first, I wholeheartedly thanks to The Barn at Four Pines for hosting one of the most incredible venue and its views. Secondly, Endless Art Studios for the incredible photoshoot sessions. Third, Chad Knesek for the surprise tribute for the "Lean On Me" sing-a-long at the end of the wedding ceremony. Fourth, my wife's cousin for the amazing wedding shower. Last but not least, Chick-fil-A Lake Houston for surprising my wife and I with their mascot appearance and celebrate with us during the wedding reception.
To top it off, you'll see occasional content from Shaelynn Jael Castle-Argumedo about advocating individuals with special needs and sharing some of her expertise in the education field that she learned over the years in future posts here.
Until then, see you next time!
